Rang 6 Italian Cooking Masterclass

Mr Canning’s class decided last week to do some cooking.Mrs O Cleirigh bought the ingredients and on Friday we set to work.

The first group prepared all the fresh vegetables for the ratatouille.  We let it simmer for about three hours.

The main ingredient were peppers, onions, garlic, courgettes, aubergines, tomatoes, salt and pepper.

The second group were tasked with making bolognese.  The main ingredients we used were mince, peppers and garlic.

For extra flavour we added tomato purée, sun dried tomatoes and basil leaves.  We let it cook for roughly two hours.

The third group made delicious garlic butter, which they spread onto large baguettes.  They also cooked penne pasta for the bolognese sauce.

The boys then settled down and ate the tasty meal.  All in all it was a good day and the food was sure tasty.
